FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do my guests need to be vaccinated?

Yes, only double vaccinated guests may attend your wedding and reception. Guests who have received only one dose of a vaccination may not attend and will not be admitted.

Please ensure your guests understand that they must have the correct evidence of vaccination to enter the property. We cannot make any allowances if a guest forgets to bring it or has the wrong documentation eg. medical exemption that does not adhere to the s

Tips for asking guests about their vaccination status: Click here

At this stage the Victorian government has made no allowances for any unvaccinated guests (unless they hold a medical exemption), if even 1 guest is unvaccinated you may only have a total of 10 guests in attendance at your ceremony and reception. ***Please note, this restriction has been misinterpreted by some. For example, you cannot have 60 guests that are vaccinated plus 10 that aren’t, it means that only 10 guests in total can attend).

Children over 16 years old must be fully vaccinated to enter venues, except those with medical exemptions.

Children under 16 years old do not need to be vaccinated but must be accompanied by fully vaccinated adults.

How can patrons attending your wedding prove their vaccination status?

From Monday 11 October 2021 patrons can prove they are fully vaccinated quickly and easily through the Service Victoria app.

Acceptable proof of vaccination status also includes:

  • COVID-19 digital certificate uploaded to a smart phone wallet or via My Gov App

How do guests prove they have a valid medical exemption?

COVID-19 digital certificate with exemption listed on it, uploaded to a smart phone wallet or via My Gov App

People who are considered fully vaccinated

You are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the purposes of attending a venue if:

  • you have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, or

  • you have a valid medical exemption to COVID-19 vaccination issued by an authorised medical practitioner, or

  • you are aged under 16.

If you can show evidence of any of the above, you can enter a venue as if you are fully vaccinated. See below for how you will be permitted to show your vaccination status.

People who are not considered fully vaccinated

You are not considered fully vaccinated for the purposes of attending a venue if you cannot show evidence that:

  • you have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, or

  • you have a valid medical exemption to COVID-19 vaccination issued by an authorised medical practitioner, or

  • you are aged under 16.

If you can’t show evidence of any of the above, you will not be considered fully vaccinated and many venues will not be permitted to allow you entry.

All authorised workers must prove that they have had a first dose by 15 October, or evidence of an appointment for their first dose by 22 October. Authorised workers must be fully vaccinated by 26 November.
